Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 9, 2026 Data controller: KILLERUX LLC (d/b/a Pushing Peak) Contact: kevin@killerux.design
This Privacy Policy explains what information Pushing Peak ("the app," "we," "us") collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. KILLERUX LLC, doing business as Pushing Peak, is the controller responsible for your personal information. Pushing Peak is a sports-nutrition and training app for competitive athletes aged 13 and older.
We wrote this policy in plain language and named the actual companies that receive your data, rather than describing them as unnamed "service providers." If anything here is unclear, contact us at the address above.
Information We Collect
We collect only what the app needs to do its job. Specifically:
- Account information — the email address you use to sign in (we authenticate
with a one-time email code; we do not store a password).
- Athlete profile — your date of birth (birthdate), height, weight, sport, and
training preferences. Your birthdate is collected to compute age-appropriate fueling targets and to enforce our minimum-age policy (see *Children and Minors*).
- Training and nutrition logs — the workouts, meals, and food entries you record,
including the free-text meal descriptions you type and the foods you confirm.
- Subscription and entitlement records — whether your account has active access,
and the source of that access (for example, an in-app purchase).
- Optional profile photo — if you set a profile avatar, the image you choose.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, health-kit data, or device advertising identifiers.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: create and secure your account; calculate day-aware macro and fueling targets from your profile and training; identify and ground the foods you log against trusted nutrition databases; sync your data across your devices; manage your subscription and access; and respond to support requests. We do not use your information for advertising or for building profiles about you across other apps or websites.
Third Parties We Share Data With
We share the minimum data necessary with the following named companies, each for the specific purpose listed. These are our only third-party data recipients.
| Recipient | What it receives | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase Inc. | Account email; athlete profile (birthdate, height, weight); training and nutrition logs; subscription/entitlement records; optional profile photo | Cloud database, authentication (email one-time code), file storage, and cross-device sync. Supabase is our primary data processor. |
| Apple Inc. | In-app purchase and transaction data, subscription status, and a random per-account token (an appAccountToken that carries no name, email, or profile data) | In-app purchase and subscription management, and App Store distribution. |
| Google LLC | The free-text meal descriptions you type for AI food logging | Turns a described meal into an itemized list of foods with estimated macros (AI itemization). |
| Anthropic PBC (Claude) | The food text used to rank and verify catalog matches | Improves the accuracy of matching your food to our verified nutrition catalog (AI re-ranking). |
| Perplexity AI (Sonar) | Food-name query strings only, for unmatched restaurant or chain items | Last-resort lookup for foods we cannot ground from our own catalog. |
We also query two public nutrition reference databases — USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts — to look up nutrition facts by food name. These queries send a food name, not your personal information, and these databases are a data *source*, not recipients of your personal data.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.
Photos and Images
- Barcode scanning happens on your device. When you scan a product barcode, your
camera reads the barcode locally on your phone. The image is not uploaded — only the decoded barcode number is used to look up the product.
- Profile avatar. If you set a profile photo, it is stored in Supabase (above).
The app does not send meal photos to any third party for AI food identification; food logging uses the text you type, not images.
No Analytics, Advertising, or Tracking
Pushing Peak contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no crash-reporting SDK. We do not use the device advertising identifier (IDFA), we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not share any data for behavioral or targeted advertising. Any usage signals we keep are first-party and stay within our own Supabase database. This absence is deliberate and is part of how we protect younger athletes.
How Third Parties Protect Your Data
Each company listed above is bound by its own agreement and privacy commitments to provide protection for your data that is at least equivalent to the protection described in this policy, and to process the data only for the purposes we specify. We share only the data each recipient needs for its stated function.
Data Retention
We keep your personal information only for as long as it is reasonably necessary to provide the app and to meet our legal obligations. Your profile, logs, and account data are retained while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your associated personal information from our systems, and we instruct our processors to do the same, except where we are required to retain limited records (for example, transaction records) to comply with law. We do not retain children's personal information longer than reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected.
Children and Minors
Pushing Peak is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly permit accounts for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. The app is directed to competitive teen and adult athletes; it is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, please contact kevin@killerux.design and we will act to remove it. Where the app is available to minors 13 and older, we honor the age and consent signals the app store provides.
Your Choices and Rights
You can view and edit your profile in the app at any time, and you can delete your account, which removes your associated personal information as described under *Data Retention*. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, port, or delete your personal information; to exercise them, contact kevin@killerux.design.
Data Security
We protect your information with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls on our database. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information and to limit who can access it.
International Users
We operate from the United States, and your information is processed in the United States and in the regions our processors operate. By using the app you understand that your information may be processed in the United States.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves or as the law requires. When we make a material change, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
